NECSS is committed to inspiring the next generation of students to become active and committed advocates for science and skepticism. Unfortunately, the cost of attending large conferences can often be too high for many students. We therefore began the NECSS Student Sponsorship Program (SSP) to help students attend NECSS at no cost to them.
By making a tax-deductible donation to the NECSS Student Sponsorship Program you will provide a student with the opportunity to attend NECSS 2012, network with conference speakers and attendees, and expand their horizons – for free!
Sponsor a student to attend NECSS
We have already set aside five registration slots for this year’s sponsorship program. That means five students are already able to attend NECSS 2012 for free! But we want to invite more students to attend at no cost to them. For every student-priced ticket donated to the Student Sponsorship Program we can open another spot for a qualified student. The more donations we receive the more sponsorships we can make available!
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the life of a student by sponsoring their attendance at NECSS 2012. So when you register for your own ticket please consider sponsoring a student as well! Not only will you help make NECSS bigger and better, with more student participation, your donation is fully tax deductible. Even if you can’t attend NECSS this year you can still help!
The NECSS Student Sponsorship Program is open to high school, college, and graduate students ages 16-24. Each student must also submit a brief essay explaining why they are passionate about attending NECSS. Please see the official sponsorship rules here for complete details.
