Dr. Shari R. Berkowitz is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice Administration at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Her expertise is in the study of human memory as applied to the legal system. She received both her Ph. D. in Criminology, Law and Society and her B. A. in Psychology at the University of California, Irvine. In addition to her teaching and research, Dr. Berkowitz has led trainings for attorneys, judges, and investigators on eyewitness memory and wrongful conviction. She has also consulted as an expert witness in criminal and civil trials in state, federal, and military courts.
